LOS ANGELES — April 2, 2021 — Project Blue Book: Hidden Mysteries is your chance to investigate flying saucers in the world’s first Unidentified Flying (Hidden) Object Game!
It’s 1952, and the U.S. Air Force is operating a top-secret investigation: Project Blue Book. As a newly recruited agent, it’s your job to uncover the truth behind these real declassified UFO sightings. Test your investigation skills in this out-of-this-world hidden object adventure!
Project Blue Book: Hidden Mysteries, now available for the PC, will challenge your observation and deduction tactics, as you uncover relevant evidence in many of the actual scenes from The HISTORY Channel series, Project Blue Book. The colorful TV characters provide guidance as well as romantic interest. Best-selling science-fiction author Steven-Elliot Altman wrote the story for the three cases in the game. The award-winning team at Three Gates in Sweden developed and published the game on mobile platforms, and collaborated with Legacy Games on the development of the PC version. Legacy will publish the PC game through both digital and retail channels.
Project Blue Book: Hidden Mysteries is the official hidden object adventure based on The HISTORY Channel’s hit drama series, created by David O’Leary, and produced for The HISTORY Channel® by A+E Studios and OSCAR® and GOLDEN GLOBE® winner Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, Contact). The series explored the historical Top-Secret investigations into UFOs conducted by the U.S. Air Force between 1952 and 1969. The main characters are the astrophysicist Josef Allen Hynek, played by Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones), and his partner, Captain Michael Quinn, played by Michael Malarkey (The Vampire Diaries).
In Project Blue Book: Hidden Mysteries, players start as newly recruited agents in Project Blue Book under Dr. Hynek and Captain Quinn. The main characters in the series act as commissioners and interact with the player during the performance of the cases and assignments.
Throughout each case, players complete timed hidden object scenes with several different game modes to uncover clues. These clues, in turn, give players further insight into the mystery on hand, alongside dialogue between the main characters and various witnesses to each case.
Players can earn hints to aid them in hidden object scenes playing mini-games, including swap, match-3, redaction, and puzzles. They can revisit past clues and conversations. They can also move up the ranks of the U.S. Air Force by earning stars, awarded for thorough investigation and speed in hidden object scenes.
Once the player has found all the clues for a case, they must beware… not everyone wants the truth to come to light, and someone or something lurks in the shadows!
Project Blue Book: Hidden Mysteries is now available for purchase at Steam and at Legacy Games for $6.99.
