TIMELESS AS INFINITY

Mad Head Games takes us on an unusual journey as a supernatural detective named Adam Wolfe, who has been searching for his missing sister for over two years. Every case solved further unravels the threads of a cult conspiracy called The Timeless, who claim to be immortal.

Will Adam find his sister Allie dead, or alive…or somewhere in between the infinity of Timelessness?

It’s a very Mad Head World indeed! This is an action-packed adventure, unlike any other HOPA game. Donned in a black leather jacket, Adam Wolfe narrates the action from a first-person point of view, which immediately draws you in and personally connects you with his bad-boy persona.

Each of the four games is a different case, yet each game intertwines with one another and leads you closer to the events that led to the disappearance of Adam’s sister, Allie.

TOOLS OF THE TRADE:

Gun: Throughout the investigation, you will have a gun and ammo…ammo that actually runs out after 6 shots! When shooting the bad guys, you will have to align the target before shooting, which gives this feature a more realistic vibe.

Cell Phone: The cell phone is used to make calls, mostly to Adam’s detective buddy, Marv, at the force, but it is also used to take pictures of various evidence.

GPS Navigation: This feature is basically a glorified jump map, but it does come in handy. Areas that sparkle are hot spots where a task is available, and I like that Adam hops on his motorcycle when traveling between scenes.

Watch: Adam receives a mysterious watch with an infinity symbol that just so happens to turn back time. You’ll have to pay attention to any mention of times because chances are that you’ll have to set the watch to that specific time. This will prompt a hidden object variation in a black-and-white scene where you’ll recreate the scene of the crime by finding and replacing a few objects.

Intense Focus: Adam will use Intense Focus to search a scene for clues. This requires you to find 4 clues within the scene (the items will have a glowing green orb around them). After finding the clues, those 4 items will appear on the screen in the form of circular tabs that must be rearranged in the correct order. Pay attention to the hints at the bottom of each tab, and place them from smallest to largest, or vice versa.

HIDDEN OBJECT SCENES:

Almost all the HO scenes are Keyword-in-Sentence variations that will progress the story or sum up the crime, which gives the game a more realistic approach.

ADAM WOLFE SERIES:

I really enjoyed replaying the Adam Wolfe series, but it makes me yearn for more Mad Head Games. (Unfortunately, MHG switched to developing hardcore action-adventure games). From the gritty, Gothic-style graphics to a pet crow named Hubris, everything about this action-packed HOPA game is unique. The Adam Wolfe series is as “Timeless as The Timeless” and should definitely not be overlooked!
