We’ve been hard at work improving the Legacy Games Launcher, and this update brings some great quality-of-life improvements across the board. Here’s everything that’s new:
Game Library Sorting
This highly requested feature is now available! Organizing your library just got easier. You can now sort your games by name or by date added — and for games that are ready to play, you can also sort by last played to jump right back into what you’ve been enjoying most.
To enable sorting by last played, go to Settings and make sure Track Play Time is toggled on.
Improved Search Bar
The search bar now searches across all sections at once — the store, your installed games, and games available to install — so you can find anything without switching tabs. Search results are also now sorted by relevance, with games that match by title appearing above games that only match in the description.
Launch & Install from Search Results
No more extra clicks! You can now play or install a game directly from the search results list, without having to open your game library first.
Clickable Images on Featured Games
A small but handy change: clicking the cover image of a featured game now opens its game page, just like clicking the title does. It’s a more natural way to browse.
Uninstall Confirmation
We’ve added a confirmation pop-up before any game is uninstalled. You’ll see a prompt asking “Are you sure you want to uninstall [game]?” with YES and NO buttons — so no more accidental removals!
Hero Club Page and Shortcut
You can now sign up for Hero Club directly from inside the launcher! The final steps of the sign-up process will be completed on our website, but you no longer need to go there to get started. Also, you can now check the current month’s featured games on this page.
We hope these updates make your time in the launcher smoother and more enjoyable.
You can now download the newest version (v1.19.2) from this page: https://legacygames.com/gameslauncher/.
As always, keep an eye out for more improvements coming soon. Happy gaming! 🎮
