Alchemy and Magic: The Lost Grimoires Trilogy

You know what time it is, new month, new staff picks! It is always a difficult choice to pick which games get to be showcased each month as our favorites, and after some time and thoughtful reflection, we decided that the Lost Grimoires hidden object game trilogy from World-Loom and Artifex Mundi was just too good to not include in that list.

Plunging into the heart of fantastical settings, mythical creatures, and whimsical magics, prepare to solve puzzles and outsmart villains every step of the way. These three hidden object games are chock full of your favorite minigames and creative puzzles that are bound to keep you entertained. In all three of the showcased games, you get to play as a clever alchemist, proficient in the arcane art of transmutation, and ready to tackle any challenge that comes your way.

Lost Grimoires: Stolen Kingdom

It isn’t uncommon for the first game of a series to be underwhelming, or less enjoyable than the ones that follow after, but part of the reason why Lost Grimoires made our list of favorites is because it starts off by setting the bar pretty high for itself. Lost Grimoires: Stolen Kingdom was a joy to experience. It has new and interesting puzzle mechanics that implement an alchemy system in which you mix and prepare ingredients, then finish off the alchemical procedures with transmutation circles.

If you’ve played Queen’s Quest 2: Stories of Forgotten Past and enjoyed the alchemical system in that game, then you’re bound to get the same ingenious crafting feel from Lost Grimoires: Stolen Kingdom! Lost Grimoires 2: Shard of Mystery

In the second installment of the series, we get to see the continuation of the first game’s story, but this time with all new and improved puzzle mechanics. Not only that, but there was a noticeable improvement with the voice acting and even the famed alchemy system. Brave the magical world and defeat the corrupted witch by crafting all new alchemical magics in Lost Grimoires 2: Shard of Mystery!

Lost Grimoires 3: The Forgotten Well

In the third and final addition to the series, World-Loom and Artifex Mundi decided to up the graphics, up the story, and up the alchemical prowess of the main character! Lost Grimoires 3: The Forgotten Well really makes the player feel like a powerful alchemist that devises clever concoctions to solve puzzles and find clues throughout the hidden object scenes. This third game is an absolute must play to get the full Lost Grimoires experience!
