It is likely that your personal firewall application is preventing your product from contacting our servers in order to complete the licensing process. To remedy this you can TEMPORARILY disable your firewall software until you have successfully installed, and activated your purchase.
***Legacy Games strongly recommends that you re-enable your personal firewall software after licensing your product. We must also remind you that disabling your personal firewall software is done at your own discretion, and Legacy Games specifically disclaims any liability or claims for damage arising from your decision to disable the software.

My game is crashing (or the screen is going blank.)
This problem is often caused by incompatibilities between your computer's graphics card and the product you are trying to use.
Perform the following steps to troubleshoot your issue:
- 1. Make sure that you have the most current video card drivers installed for your system. To find the most current video card drivers, try running Windows Update which can be found under your "START" menu, or under "START" > "All Programs" > "Windows Update."
- 2. Ensure you have the most current version of Microsoft's DirectX installed on your system. To get the most current version of DirectX, click on this link and follow the on-screen instructions. Click Here.
When you are prompted to SAVE/ OPEN the file, choose open and proceed with the installation.
- 3. Reboot your computer.
- 4. Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
- 5. Run your product again.
If the above steps don't resolve your issue, your computer may not have the correct configuration to run the product. The amount of memory, hard disk space or operating system you are running may prevent you from using your product correctly. Please check the system requirements for your game on the particular game page of our website and compare this to your current configuration. Contact Us.
Back to topThe game doesn't start or doesn't run well. What should I do?
Many problems appear to get solved by un-installing the game, and then downloading it again. This may be caused by old or corrupted files. In order to make sure you have a fresh download, first uninstall the game. Then you may need to clear your browser's cache. To clear your browser's cache, open your internet browser (for most computers, this is Internet Explorer) then go to Tool, then Internet Options, and click on Delete Files. This will delete your computer's temporary internet files, or cache. While downloading a new version of the game, do not interrupt the download. Make sure that there are no other programs running when you install the game.

The game runs very slow. What can I do?
Make sure your computer meets the game's system requirements. Then, close all other applications.
Closing programs running in the background can free up memory so the program you are trying to use works better. Closing background programs can also resolve problems where two programs are trying to use the same device. To turn these programs bak on, restart your computer.
To temporarily disable background programs:
Right-click the icons in the system tray (next to the clock), and choose Close, Exit, or Disable.
Not all icons can be closed. For troubleshooting purposes, close all that you can, except for anti-virus software and firewall software. Closing these program icons does not uninstall them; the next time you start your computer, the icons will appear as usual.
To temporarily disable background programs on Windows from Task Manager:
The Windows Task Manager can close programs that the system tray cannot. If you are still having memory or device problems, choose the method for your computer's operating system:
Windows 2000 and XP:
- 1. Press and hold the CTRL and ALT keys, and then press the DELETE key. The Windows Security window appears.

- 3. From the Windows Task Manager, open the Applications tab. From the Applications tab, highlight each application you want to close and then click End Task.
- 4. Now open the Processes tab. For each program you want to close, highlight it/click it once and then click End Process. Do not close System or EXPLORER.EXE.
